Get to know the creators of the Retropolitan Craft Fair
Alyssa Maddox // Founder & Director
Alyssa handles the overall management of the Retropolitan Craft Fair. As a television producer, she knows how to balance multiple projects and works well under pressure. Starting this craft fair combined Alyssa’s love of organizing events, crafting, & surrounding herself with passionate people. Alyssa is an old soul who enjoys snuggling her dog Captain Buckley von Trapp, collecting vintage dishes, & singing loudly in her car. Alyssa has two main goals in her life: to be on the Muppet Show & to ride in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.
Lacey Strike // Co-Founder & Creative DIRECTOR
Lacey helps to create the vibe that goes along with the Retropolitan Craft Fair. This includes teaming up with graphic designer and the other co-founders of the fair to define what retropolitan looks and feels like then making those visions a reality. As a television reenactment producer, she is used to making the past happen in the present. Having the opportunity to delve into her favorite eras, while combining her love of crafts, and working along side super talented people is nothing short of a dream. Lacey loves spending her time collecting vintage trinkets, refinishing furniture, loving her husband and pups, and binge watching TV.
Taylor Harris // Co-Founder & Bus. Manager
Taylor manages the behind the scenes, “business-y” aspects of the Retropolitan Craft Fair. She enjoys crafting and the creations of others. Taylor is a firm believer that a pretty space is a happy space, at work and at home. Full time, she works with jewelry in an allocation and inventory management role, managing money & planning for the future on a daily basis. She enjoys remodeling her home, spending time with her husband & her family, and wearing boots year round.
Ashley Walker // intern
Ashley Walker is an intern for the Retropolitan Craft Fair. She assists with writing vendor and sponsor spotlights and whatever else the Retro staff need! She is a junior majoring in Public Relations at the University of Tennessee. When Ashley is not working with kids or doing school work, she can be found watching Netflix, going to UT sporting events, or crocheting!
